Advent is a time to Prepare for the Coming of Christ

Here are some resources for use in Advent from my files that can easily be adapted for your own use.
From two pages, twenty-four four sentences or quotes from scripture are cut into strips and then hooked as rings from December 1st to December 24th. This creates an Advent Calendar in ring form that tells a story in much the same fashion as a traditional Christmas Pageant (cue the non-existent in scripture innkeeper!). As the rings are removed, read, and shared, a family is given another way to prepare for the coming of Christ while never forgetting the presence of Christ.
